Start With These Essential Safety Rules
- Never share an OTP, password, UPI PIN, card PIN, CVV or full banking credentials with another person.
- Do not install an APK or remote-access app just because a message or caller tells you to.
- Check a website address carefully before signing in, downloading a file or entering payment details.
- Do not trust a phone number, social-media group, app link or support profile merely because it uses the Netpay name or logo.
- Pause before sending money. Be cautious of urgency, guaranteed returns, prizes or pressure to pay a fee to unlock funds.
Warning Signs of a Possible Scam
Urgent or Threatening Messages
Messages claiming your account will be blocked immediately, or demanding an instant payment, should be checked carefully. Do not use links or numbers included in an unexpected message until independently verified.
Requests for Secret Information
Never disclose an OTP, password, UPI PIN, recovery code or screen-sharing access to someone claiming they need it to verify, refund or secure your account.
Guaranteed Earnings or Advance Fees
Be cautious of guaranteed profits, risk-free income claims, unexpected rewards or demands for a deposit, tax or processing fee before a withdrawal or prize can be released.
Unknown Apps, APKs and Remote Access
Download apps only from sources you have verified. Do not install unknown APK files or remote-control software at the request of a caller or online contact.
Protect Your Account and Device
Use safer sign-in habits
- Use a strong, unique password wherever a password is supported.
- Enable available security protections, such as two-step verification, from the service's verified settings.
- Keep your operating system, browser and apps updated through trusted update channels.
- Use a device lock and avoid entering sensitive information on shared or public devices.
- Log out of shared devices and review account activity where the provider offers that feature.
Check links before you tap
- Read the full domain carefully and watch for misspellings, extra words or unusual endings.
- HTTPS encrypts a connection but does not prove that a website or seller is legitimate.
- Do not rely on search ads, forwarded messages or comments as proof of an official download link.
- Never ignore browser security warnings just to access a page.
UPI and Payment Safety
- Enter your UPI PIN only in your trusted payment app when authorising a payment; do not share it with anyone.
- Remember that receiving money normally does not require you to enter your UPI PIN to “accept” it.
- Check the recipient name and amount carefully before approving a transaction.
- Do not scan a QR code or approve a collect request unless you understand who is requesting money and why.
- Save transaction references and screenshots if something looks wrong, but hide account numbers and other private information when sharing evidence.
What to Do if You Suspect Fraud or Account Compromise
- Stop communicating with the suspicious person. Do not send more money, codes or documents.
- Contact the bank or payment provider. Use a verified app, website or number from a trusted source and ask about securing the account or disputing the transaction.
- Secure affected accounts. Change compromised passwords from a trusted device, revoke unknown sessions where possible and enable available security protections.
- Preserve evidence. Keep relevant URLs, timestamps, transaction IDs, message screenshots and account names. Do not alter the original records.
- Report through official channels. Use the appropriate provider, platform or government reporting service. For immediate danger, contact local emergency services.
- Warn others responsibly. Share factual details without publishing private data or making claims you cannot verify.
Protect Your Personal Information
Share only the information needed for a legitimate purpose. Be especially careful with identity documents, bank statements, card details, addresses, phone numbers and screenshots that may reveal account information.
- Do not send identity documents to an unverified contact.
- Blur OTPs, account numbers, addresses and other sensitive details before sharing screenshots for help.
- Check app permissions and remove access that is unnecessary.
- Be cautious about impersonation attempts that use personal details gathered from social media.
How to Report a Suspicious Netpay-Related Page or Message
If you encounter a page, app, message or profile using the Netpay name suspiciously, preserve the exact URL or profile name, the date and time, and relevant screenshots. Report it to the platform hosting it and, if money or account access is involved, to your bank/payment provider or the appropriate official reporting channel.
